Slowest round ever
One hour for first two holes. Absolutely disgraceful
Great views of city, fun course
Please repair your ball marks! Every green looked like the surface of the moon or a World War 1 battleground.
Fun layout and excellent value but needs a bit of love on the greens
Love playing this course but man does the pace of play SUCK
I love playing at this course. Its a fantastic 9 hole course in some of the best condition its even been in. The crews are really working hard to keep it clean and easy to play on. That being said I wish they put the same or even half that effort into helping with the pace of play. 5 people per group is already ridiculous as is, but letting two people tee off 5 minutes after their tee time to meet up with there group who was waiting for them on 1 is ridiculous. Be on time or miss a hole. The starter had no concept of pace of play. I would recommend this course to people but be aware it could take you more than 2 hours to play these 9 holes.
Did not have reservation
Prepaid for round and starter didn’t have reservation at checkin. Proceeded to be a 20 minute circus act until they finally let us on the tee box.
Great exec course but 5-somes = 3 hour 9-hole round
Course in great shape for July w/excellent fairway and green conditions; mild elevation change and some tight tree lined holes make it interesting, with surprisingly difficult pin positions making putting a challenge on a couple of holes. Yes, they match you up into 5-somes, but seems that locals who play here are the patient type and are friendly and easy to get along with. Enjoyed it so much that I came back the next day for another round. Walking only, no riding option however.
Hollywood stars.
This is my favorite nine hole course in Los Angeles. It's right next to the observatory and it's very beautiful. You'll see coyotes, deer all kinds of ground squirrels, on top of an unusual and amazing layout. It's par 3s and par 4s. It's very challenging. It's not super long but it's narrow and it's a great time
Great course, but know what to expect
Overall, one of the best 9 hole muni golf courses I have played, and very affordable too.
Main problem is that the skill level of golfer who is out there is way below what the hilly layout demands, so there are lots of tee-box reloads and ball searches going on. I believe it was 3+ hours to finish 9 holes, although as a visitor this was somewhat offset by the gorgeous views from overlooks onto downtown LA that you get from this course.
Bring a pull cart
Parking is tough, pace of play is 5 some frustrating so prepare for a 3 hour 9 hole round.
Bring a hand cart or a light bag because this course is hilly and walking only.
Definitely worth the money if you have the time and energy.
Don’t waste your time!
Screw this place. This could be really great if they got their course management figured out. We teed off at 330, we're through 5 at 545.... 3-4 groups on every tee box and 5-somes galore. If you're actually decent at golf, don't even bother. You will be so frustrated with how slow this is. We told the starter and his response was "I don't even play golf so I don't care". He said "5-somes are normal and you have to let them out. This is a normal thing here". Uh no you don't? You obviously only care about a buck. And for you golfer, You're better off at other LA courses.
