With six golf courses designed by the likes of Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus, and Greg Norman, it’s no wonder that PGA West is one of Palm Springs’ most popular golfing destinations. The Nicklaus Tournament Course is a true shot-maker’s layout that is both forgiving off of the tees but also incredibly demanding on the approaches to the greens. It’s less difficult than PGA West's TPC Stadium Course, but not by much. Each hole offers a different test. Thanks to the stunning desert landscape, you’ll face an abundance of sand but you’ll also have to contend with elevated greens and punishing rough. Another prominent feature of the golf course is the dramatic changes in elevation. The multi-tiered fairways tumble across the undulating terrain and you’ll be hard pressed to find an even lie. There are also several water hazards, including two holes with island greens.
