Indian Wells Golf Resort offers two 18-hole championship courses as well as a lighted nine-hole natural grass putting course. The resort is one of southern California's premier golf destinations with the distinction of being the only 36-hole public facility to be ranked in Golfweek's top 20 "Best Courses You Can Play" in California. The Celebrity Course opened in 2006 followed by the Players Course in 2007. The Celebrity Course presents classic desert golf that favors accuracy over distance. The layout features contoured fairways and elevated greens framed by strategically placed bunkers. The front nine's challenges come from the hilliness of the terrain while the back nine is characterized by the abundance of water. Thanks to the north/south orientation of most of the holes, golfers can also take in stunning mountain views during their round.
