About
Editor's Note: Course closed for business in 06/2019.
Diamond Valley Golf Club is an easy drive into Hemet Valley from a number of locations including San Diego, Orange County, and Los Angeles. Though it's easily accessible, the course is tucked away in the San Jacinto Mountains, offering a feel of peaceful seclusion. The layout encompasses a variety of terrain, from scenic waterscapes to lush, rolling hills covered with native plants and grasses. With dramatic elevation changes from tee to green, this course isn't walker friendly, which can easily be overlooked if you're looking for a truly formidable test. The sloping nature of the landscape lends a different character to each hole and the elevated tees provide panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. One of Diamond Valley Golf Club's most memorable holes is the par-3 17th. It's as scenic as it is challenging, requiring a short iron to wedge shot over a cascading waterfall.

Good value
The rates are low, but the course is obviously not making enough to keep standards up. Course condition is suffering. Pro shop and kitchen stock is minimal, there are only enough golf carts that you get one as it comes in just before your tee time. However I really like the layout and will continue to play here at times.
Inexpensive round
It's good for inexpensive golf, and a chance to get some practice in. The fairways are decent once the first 2 holes are out of the way, the greens are in fairly good shape.
If you're expecting a Palm Springs style course this isn't it.
Would recommend if you're looking for reasonable value for low cost, but not if you're looking for a great course.
Fun holes can be found on this one
A couple of driveable par 4s for the longer hitters, one one each side, can make or break a round, though I wouldn't take the gamble on the back side offering as the drop off from the fairway to the "rough" is like a cliff. Actually, several fairways had this feature where if you miss in the wrong spot you'll find your ball ten, fifteen or even more below the level of the fairway. Greens are big and hilly, both closing par 5s on each side had three-tiers. While some people might be a little annoyed and some of the quirks I found it refreshing and fun, even as a first-time player.
Friends
We all been chomping at bit to play. The rain let up and gave us a great day to play. The course layout is nice. A few challenging holes. Definitely a course to play again.
Nice Course - Cold/Wind did not like us
It was a decent course, but I cannot fully judge the course since is was 40 degrees and windy. Maybe I will go play another day when it warms up. Overall, above average course.
Nice course
We enjoyed the course very much and found some challenges. The only comment we both felt that for people with any. Knee issues it was hard going up and down to most of the tee off areas. Other than that we really enjoyed the course and played it just under four hours. We will definitely be back. Thank you
conditions improving
Heard some bad things that turned out to be not true. Greens and fairways are in quite decent condition and in a couple of weeks should be as good as they were two years ago when I played it last.
Great price, good course
Course is in good shape compared to many in the area.
Beautiful course
Great layout, lots of interesting holes. Really enjoyed playing this course.
Greens good but slow stimp
Fun course despite the grumpy starter. Played in under 3 hours on a Sunday. Tee boxes are generally pretty rough but fairways are good, greens are comparatively excellent.
Fun but Challenging
Course plays long but greens are in great shape and areas being reseeded are showing big progress.....looking forward to a truly beautiful course in January.
Regular here that may never be coming back.
Usually shoot here for their good afternoon weekend prices. But after last round I will now be traveling further and paying more for golf. Only was able to finish 9 holes due to weather and the fact that not only was it raining but they had the sprinklers going on and off at random. We watched as several groups were chased off the greens as the sprinklers would pop up out of no where and start spraying everyone. It happened to us at least twice on the greens but also several times in the fairways. So after 9 we decided enough was enough and decided to get a rain check for the 9 holes we didn't get to play. So we pack up and head in to ask for our rain checks. We were then told by the gentleman working that they do not give out rain checks and that we can continue to play if we wished. Now I wouldn't have minded playing through the light drizzle but with random sprinklers going off and dousing you I was over it. So instead of giving us a rain check for nine holes worth about $10.50 we will now be taking our business elsewhere. I will gladly be driving further and paying more to golf from now on. Not my loss to be honest.
No longer my fav course and never coming back.
Challenging and fun course. Been shooting here for many many years but after today I most likely won't be back. They usually have good weekend afternoon deals so I tend to shoot here almost every week. After today's round i will now be driving further and paying more to play golf. Course is usually hit and miss when it comes to condition so they have seeded a few areas and a few holes. As we are playing our round, now mind you it's already sprinkling out side, sprinklers would randomly come on and off at any given time. We watched people running off the greens as sprinklers pop up and start blasting everyone out of no where. So after plying in the drizzly rain and playing through sprinklers we had enough and left after 9. Asked for 9 hole rain check and was denied. Was told they don't do rain checks and it was fine out side and I could continue my round if I wished. I would have played through the mild drizzle but the random sprinklers throughout the greens and fairways was just too much. Anyways instead of giving me a 9 hole rain check worth $10.50 I will now not be coming here and taking my business else where. Definitely not my loss.
GREAT TIME
OUR GROUP HAD A GREAT TIME.....ENJOYED THE COURSE AND THE SURROUNDING AREA......WOULD RECOMMEND TO ALL !!!!!!!!
The course is average at best
The course was dry and the greens were in bad shape. The off course amenities are non existent. The pace of play was terrible and we had to skip a hole to get around a group that was holding up the entire course.
Great Deal! Great Condition!
I've been to this course before, and its always challenging. Great staff and good conditions. Every course in CA has been affected by the drought, but this course definitely still looks great. Thank you DVGC
Great course
This place is a gem.
Beautiful layout and nice green.
Even better than some of the palm Springs good golf courses.
Love to play here and 8 of us booked for next Tuesday..
We will play more often this course even though need to drive a lot more....
Horrible experience...
I can't remember how many times I've played here, but yesterday is by far the worse experience ever. I booked my tee time at Golf now, then at the course got charge for cart fee because my friend booked a different tee time, like 17 mins apart. Nobody's even playing but us. The condition of the course is by far the WORSE!!!! Play somewhere else. Not worth it. WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY!!!!
