Too Slow, Several Quit Early
Conditions were great on our front side playing in just over 2 hours, but the back side was getting colder and windier by the minute caused players in our group, the whole group behind us, and 2 of the 4 in the group behind them to quit and drive in to drop off their carts.
The executive course of par 63 is very good for improving the short games. The course is challenging. Good for people in a hurry. You canfiniesh the course in a good 3 hours.
Good layout
I always enjoy playing here, get to practice with all my clubs!
Much Improved
The weather is finally improving after all the storms we've had this winter. Dublin Ranch is close to home, I'd already played on Saturday, so Sunday afternoon at Dublin, a short course that generally plays quickly, seemed a good way to end the weekend!!
I've played here numerous times, never over a 4 hour round even when busy, reasonably priced and the staff are super friendly. The course was pretty full today so just under 4 hours was acceptable. I've played here a lot of times and if not too busy a 3 hour round (11 par 3's) can be expected.
The real reason I'm spending time to write this review is to say THANK YOU to Dublin Ranch for the condition of the course!!
MUCH Improved over the last few times I've played. The greens are back to being pretty quick, true, and in EXCELLENT condition. The Bunkers that were under repair for the last year are finally fixed. Tee Boxes are very good. The course is green, but that's expected due to all the rain.
Even the drainage is good as Carts were allowed on fairways and there was not a lot of standing water to be seen...
All in all though, the work Dublin Ranch has put into the course over the past couple of years is definitely paying off.
Kudos to the staff and the greenskeeper/maintenance crew.
Now if they could only do something about the wind....
Still in good shape but…
I’m a Dublin native so I play here often. The course is still good shape given the recent weather conditions. It’s much shorter than a regulation par 72 with lots of par 3s. Lots of hills and different lies. Beautiful views. Best to play in the morning before the afternoon wind picks up.
My only request is that they reopen the indoor bar. Always good to sit down with your friends after a round over a beer and some good pub food.
The slow pace is out of hand
The course has gotten so slow you can’t justify it. There was a frost delay this time, so it was even worse than usual. Three groups stacked at every hole complaining about how slow this course is. It’s a mess. Never going back. Out of the rotation
Dublin Ranch
Since. The new grounds keeper came on board the course is 100% better…
Finally Springlike Weather
The best part of yesterday's round was the beautiful sunny weather after several weeks of constant rains.
The worst part was pace of play. From noon to 3:30 p.m. there was no ambassador riding around to encourage proper pace of play. As a result we had to wait on over half the holes, sometimes where there were two groups waiting it'd take another 10 to12 minutes to finally tee off. Waiting has never improved my scores.
Pace of play was slow
It was a windy January day. We only played nine because of the pace of play. It seemed like every hole the wind was blowing straight at us.. I will try it again when it's not windy.
