Los Amigos Golf Course in Downey is a municipal course situated less than 15 minutes from Los Angeles and also just minutes from Orange County. The par-70 layout is perfect for beginners or those looking for a quick, casual round. The landscape is mostly flat too, which walkers will enjoy. Los Amigos is a player-friendly golf course with wide fairways and rough that isn’t too deep. The back nine is slightly more challenging than the front, featuring more doglegs and sand traps. The front nine still offers a fair amount of challenges though since there is no shortage of trees, especially along the fairways. Water hazards come into play on three holes. In addition to the course, Los Amigos G.C. also has a practice facility with a lighted, 20-stall driving range, two large putting greens, and a chipping green.
