Aviara Golf Club is part of the Park Hyatt Aviara Resort, it has not only been recognized as southern California's top resort course, Golf Digest and Golfweek have recognized it as one of the best resort courses in the country. Designed by Arnold Palmer, the course is his only design in the San Diego area. It's situated right along the coastline overlooking the Batiquitos Lagoon ecological reserve. The scenic course tumbles across rolling hillsides covered with native wildflowers. The layout stretches to just over 7,000 yards from the back tees and incorporates a variety of water hazards and strategically placed bunkers. The undulating terrain also provides plenty of challenging elevation changes that range from subtle to dramatic. In addition to the course, Aviara G.C. also offers a driving range and practice putting and chipping greens.
