Yocha Dehe Golf Club is one of northern California's top golfing destinations. Located at the Cache Creek Casino Resort about halfway between Sacramento and San Francisco, the course was carved from the rolling hills of the Capay Valley. The pristine landscape offers stunning views throughout. In addition to being scenic, the golf course is a challenge as well at over 7,000 yards from the back tees. With a name that means "home by the spring water" in the Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation's language, water comes into play on several holes in the form of lakes and streams. Be prepared for several intimidating carries over water. The manicured greens play fast and true, and they are often accompanied by bunkers. Although Cache Creek is just 20 miles from Napa Valley, it doesn't have the same crowds, making the vineyards of Capay Valley one of the area's best-kept secrets.
