Sun City South Golf Course
About
The Sun City South Golf Course is normally a private club but during the summer months, public play is allowed. The course has a traditional layout with four sets of teeboxes for a variety of different golfing options, which allow golfers to work on a range of different handicaps. The golf course has a fair share of challenges with several sand bunkers and plenty of trees scattered throughout. There are also out-of-bounds stakes providing more difficulty. Water hazards come into play on some holes as well. The Sun City South Golf Course facility has a putting green and chipping area for golfers to use in addition to the course.

Ho Hum Course Layout
The course is rather boring. Flat, with little if any variation on any of the holes. We probably will not return, despite the low price.
Another Sun City Course
Conditions were hot and a little windy. Greens were firm and fast- I couldn't stop a single chip from running through the green. Fairways were good. I've said for a number of years that if you have played one Sun City course you've pretty much played them all. This is not a criticism but just a fact. it's to bad that the courses couldn't have been each designed with one or two really memorable holes. But it is what it is.
Great course overall
This course is still in great condition prior to heat coming our way!
Interesting holes.
Greens were in good condition and held shots.
Played in 3.5 hours starting in mid-afternoon.
Always a fun time.
Staff great, pace of play wonderful, fairways were fresh nice greens. Thanks again for the memories.
A Nice Course
First time playing Sun City South.
Course was just average in design. Not a lot of variety from hole to hole.
course was in nice shape and with a little more sun and warmth, the fairways should "fluff" up nicely. Greens were smooth, rolled true and were just fast enough to make it interesting. What I didn't like was that the greens were very hard. Even if you came in with nice loft, it was still hard to hold them.
Pace of play was excellant. Although we waited a minute or two on every hole to tee off, we still played in 3 hours 35 minutes.
A good value for the money.
The only negative was the guy at the front desk was a little on the grumpy side. We didn't tee off until after 2:00 so maybe he had just had a long day and was tired or something.
Nice course
Course was in good condition overall. I don’t like the hard pan rough that all the Sun City courses seem to have. Price was right for green fees but $24.00 (plus tax) for a cart is ridiculous!
Just okay for the price
Okay course for what you pay during peak season.
Greens are firm, fast and hard to hold. Fairways mostly okay. Miss the fairways and turf is ugly with bare spots and thin spots.
Very Nice!
First time playing South and it was awesome. Staff was super friendly and the course was in great shape. Typical sun city for the rough but fairways and greens were incredible and rolled true. Also, pace of play was amazing, we had one group let us pass and finished 18 in 3hr45min. Everything was great, and while it’s still the cheapest sun city course in prime season we’ll definitely play here again
Fivesomes......
Course in good shape
just too many people playing golf this time of year
weekends will be 5 hour rounds until summer
Average course - charges extra for carts
An uninspired flat course with raised greens. The greens are hard packed and cut too close to the dirt.
They barely make any marks on approach shots. Putts do not hold their line. The fairways are thin and hard almost like having a tight lie even though you are in the fairway. To the greens keepers - guys, let the grass grow out a little bit.
