Built in the '70s, Villa de Paz Golf Club is one of the oldest 18-hole golf courses on the west side of Phoenix. The golf course has a traditional parkland layout with fairly tight fairways that are lined with mature trees and strategic bunkering around the greens. Several of the greens are elevated and there is also the occasional multi-tiered green. Water hazards come into play on 10 holes. Villa de Paz Golf Club's signature hole is the par-4 finishing hole, which features a dogleg right fairway. The tee shot is to a small landing area and the second shot must carry over a lake to a large, triple-tiered green.
