Description
Foothills Golf Club stands out among desert courses, catering to golfers who play long and those inclined toward course management. The par-72 links-style championship course - built by Tom Weiskopf and Jay Morrish - features 7,000 yards of rolling fairways, blue lakes, and bunkers, 65 of them, against desert. The golf course has four sets of tees to accommodate all levels of golfer and is hidden along the edge of the South Mountain.
A round of golf at the Foothills Golf Club kicks off on the par-4 first hole, which measures 421 yards from the championship tees. Things get longer quickly, with the par-5 second hole, coming in at 513 yards from the championship tees, being one of four holes that play longer than 500 yards. Finish up on the 457-yard, par-4 18th hole.
