Good Course

The course is moderately difficult for seniors but that makes it fun. One improvement would be their sand bunkers. Their was standing water in some and some had very hard sand. Otherwise, we enjoy the course.

Deplorable Shape

One of the two females that work the registar has a very rough personality, with little to no people skills. Numerous fariways dried out to the point, there is little to no grass, losts of dirts, and weeds. Numerous greens dried out to the point they may never come back, some are like cement. Sand bunkers have numerous large pebbles, rocks and they are very hard. Good value after 3pm only. The owners of this course who also own or manage other course will not spend the money on water or fertilizer for all of the course. This course is in deplorable shape.

No course maintenance in anticipation of summer closing

The course is scheduled for a summer closure so the greens can be redone with Bermuda grass. Watering of this desert course has always been limited. It remains to be seen if maintenance improves when it reopens in the fall.

Poor condition

So hope that this course can be saved, at present it is in poor condition, we've been golfing in Green Valleynfor 19 years & this has always been one of my favorite courses. Told they were closing for renovation.

San Ignacio North

The staff were friendly and the cart didn't break down.
That is all that was good as this course suffers from a severe lack of watering. The greens are diseased and have many dead areas. The fairways and first cut of rough are a hackers dream as there is nothing to inhibit roll out. The traps were crusty. I was disappointed.

Needs help

If a shovel, rake, hoe and pick axe are your favorite clubs then this course is all for you. The greens have major damage. It looks like someone drove a four wheeler over 70% of the greens causing issues putting. Please close the course and start over from scratch.

The fairways need reseeding and water. The greens are in poor condition.

The course fairways are dry and need seeding in many areas. There are many bare spots in the fairways and rough spots in the greens.

The course needs Much attention.

Awkward layout-friendly staff

This course has a challenging layout but it needs a lot of work. T. Greens are beat up and the fairways are hit or miss at best. You have to drive your cart through traffic to reach the first tee, kind of weird. Having said this, I would go back. The course is fun but needs attention.

Good Course for the money.

Course is very narrow and if you're not hitting it straight here you can be in trouble. The course is in average shape with problems on many fairways, tee boxes and greens. This can be attributed to problems watering the course from last year. It appears management is trying to address the issues but the course definitely was not in A1 shape. They need to relook at how you get to the #1 tee box. The drive from the south course starting point is rather excessive and time consuming. This is something new since Canoa Hills and San Ignacio merged into the North and South courses. Worth the money to play though!

Great course and great value.

The course is nice. You can still tell it was dry recently. Overall I strongly recommend it to all. It's tight! You need to hit it straight.

Management policy changes unacceptable

The change, without any advance notification, to enforce payment for a player who could not make the planned tee time is unacceptable. Notice of some sort seems to be a minimal expectation. For many years, when a player could not make it for unforeseen reasons, it was the practice to not bill.

Always has been one of my favorite courses. Glad to hear they will be shutting down to make major improvements.

Will be back a few more times before the end on April. Looking forward to the fall when the newly update course reopens. Glad the new mangers of the course are going to be paying attention the details.

always a fun course even when not in the greatest shape

Don't know why the hole order was changed, makes no sense. Safer trip back to clubhouse if it was left the original way. Don't like crossing main roadway in cart.
Course needs attetion, which glad to hear, it supposedly will be getting soon.

Nice bones, needs some work to dress up the fairways, improved signage and better greens, all of which are planned.

Great course layout
Needs better signage
Greens have been vandalized, they have done their best to fix them up and are closing the course to do more work on them
All in all it was good value and great to see an excellent course being revived, we 'll come back and play again
..and great sandwiches in the restaurant, with a decent wine selection too!

Greens need a lot of work

The owners are aware of the work needed and will shut down the course for several weeks in May. Ruts and vandalism have added to the problem of under-watering. A pleasant course to play when the conditions are fixed

Course seems to be getting better . Greens are still a problem.

The North course seems to be getting better since the last time we played there. The greens however are still a problem from the previous damage that occurred. Looks like a few of the greens have been aerated and overseeded, so hopefully they'll start taking off (provided that they keep them watered. Also noticed that the sprinkler heads were receiving some much needed maintenance.......and it appears that a lot of debris has been removed from around the course. Fairways are getting better due to them being allowed to grow a little longer.....(BRAVO..finally somebody listens to the golfers for a change). Staff has been especially courteous....particularly Mike, Margaret and the starter John. Keep up the good work.

This course requires attention.

Most holes had missing ball washers and missing towels. Fairways were hard and had a lack of grass. Greens were patchy and hard. The practice range was good as was the frequent presence of the cart girl. The marshall was around alot to keep up the pace of play. Grass clippings were dumped on the edges of some fairways, this should have been cleaned up. There was also too much garbage strewn about the course.

The course should be closed until it is ready !

This course should be closed. After not paying their water bill, the course was closed. Under new management last fall, we planned to give them some time to get it up to speed. It was hard to find a patch of grass to tee the ball up, the fairways had numerous (too many to count) areas of what should have been ground under repair, the sand traps had no sand just dirt and the greens were bumpy and full of bare areas. The new owners need to rethink the way they are managing this course. The proper thing to do would be to close for at least a year until they get their act together
