The White/Gold Course at Ocotillo Golf Resort is the most challenging of the three golf courses at the resort. Water comes into play on all but three of the 27 holes at the resort, which means that it has more water hazards than any other golf course in Arizona. The White/Gold Course is a tropical-style course with towering palms, wildflowers, and cascading waterfalls that is more reminiscent of golf courses in southern Florida than the desert courses of the surrounding area. The most challenging hole on the golf course is the White nine's ninth. It is a tricky par 4 that requires a tee shot over a slight rise in the fairway and an approach that has to travel at least 200 yards over water to a triple-tiered putting surface.
