Cambrian Ridge offers the greatest change in elevation of any course on the Trail. Coined "The Hidden Jewel on the Trail", Cambrian Ridge is set on the highest point in Butler County, Alabama which allows every golfer a most enjoyable and scenic round of golf.
The Loblolly nine, with its gently rolling fairways, cathedral-like pines, and water fronted greens, exudes a stately, Augusta-like quality.
The Sherling nine may be the best nine on the entire trail. Drama takes center stage at Sherling's ninth hole which marches straight uphill past a deep ravine strewn with ochre boulders to a lolling tongue of a double green shared with the ninth on the Canyon nine. Above this green is a clubhouse set atop the highest point in the county, its verandah serving up expansive 30-mile views of Dixie forest land.
DIRECTIONS: From I-65 take Exit 130. Go northwest on Hwy 263 for two blocks and take a left at the Exxon station. Then travel approximately 4 miles to a 4-way stop sign (County 44). Proceed straight to clubhouse.
