Oxmoor Valley offers three public golf courses, one being the popular Short Course. The facility is a part of the Robert Trent Jones Trail through Alabama. The Short Course consists of 18 one-shotters and Golf Digest considers it one of the nation's "Great Value" courses. Nestled within the Appalachians, the golf course features several elevation changes. Despite the changes though, nearly every hole plays downhill. Its picturesque location among the mountains offers lush forestry and lovely creeks. The course is suitable for all levels of players, but with two other 18-hole golf courses being offered at the facility there are a variety of different golfing options.
