The golf course at Riverchase Country Club is situated at the foot of the Appalachians, therefore providing spectacular views of the mountains. The 18-hole, private course utilizes the rolling hills and lakes provided by the terrain to create a challenging and beautiful course. Since its opening in 1976 there have been a few renovations, Denis Griffiths redesigned the course in 1989 and it was finished by John LaFoy a year later. The exclusive golf course has provided an entertaining game for celebrity clientele such as President Gerald Ford and Bob Hope. The immaculately manicured Riverchase Country Club course features rolling fairways that are wide open and large, undulating greens. Water hazards also come into play on a few holes.
