The faint of heart might want to steer clear of the nine-hole Wee Demon golf course at the Cameron House Hotel, which is the senior golf course on the estate and comes with a clever design to provide big challenges. From the par-5 first hole through two with large water hazards, right up to the end, the golf course delivers.

Golf the Wee Demon golf course at the Cameron House Hotel in the winter for deeply discounted rates.

After a round of golf on the Wee Demon golf course at the Cameron House Hotel, head back to the Claret Jug, which overlooks the golf course's sibling golf course, the Carrick, on the nature zone of Loch Lomond.

Really poor

Felt like an afterthought of a course. Completely surrounded by lodges and people walking dogs! Signposting terrible. Ground very soggy...overall a big no.

Wee demon 😈

Having played the course last summer I thought that a nice 9 hole course on the banks of loch Lomond was just the right pick me up at the tail end of winter. Lovely mild weather, light wind and a gentle spatter of rain (hardly noticed). The course is not a long testing marathon ideal as a warm up before spring to get the cobwebs away. Good bit of maintenance greens being aerated tee boxes closed still off winter mats ,only to be expected. Overall very pleasant ,in good condition plenty of par 3s to get the swing going and not too bad as core of 40 through nine. Look forward to seeing it again.

It’s ok

Thought the course was ok. Little bit tatty in places on the course and direction to the next tee was not clear but you can work it out with the map, so not too much of an issue.

Finding the course on the Cameron house estate was a bit of a nightmare and my biggest issue with the course. It just says to check in at the marina office but there are no real signs on the roads to say where that is.

Staff when we arrived were fantastic and really friendly can’t fault that at all.

All in all a great place to start as a golfer it’s tricky but that a good thing to keep you interested. Thanks guys

straight forward, until 6 7 and 8th...

Nice course,. well sign posted, until the 6th and 7th and 8th hole.. where you need to have a good look around to see exactly , where your going..,so maybe a sign for those holes, would help not to break momentum.., a bit boggy in places, and watch underfoot,,on the path.

overall a nice experience,.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS

booked this course on a cheap deal, and unfortunately that was the only positive thing, was expecting a lot better from a prestigious place like Cameron House and was badly let down, the access road to Cameron House had a road barrier which required a code to automatically lift it we weren't given one when booking and had to wait on patrons entering to go through a full 15 minutes it was the same leaving, the course was a big let down and looked as if it has not been properly maintained never seen one green keeper during our round the tee offs were all overgrown and the greens were shabby I never write reviews trust me this was bad I've honestly played in public parks which have been in better condition went with my son for his birthday and went round once as its a 9 hole course were intending to go round again but once was enough please avoid at all costs .

Unkept course

This is more of a course designed to hack around when staying at the hotel rather than play a proper round. Poorly maintained currently, wouldn’t recommend

Harsh Winter Greens and Signposting

The winter has not been kind to the Greens of the demon, even after a few decwnt days the course was still pretty marshy unfortunately. Signpostimg covered by thick grass and generally pretty minimal
And easily missed , almost missed hole 2 or 3 until another group told us how to get there.

Great wee course

Great 9 hole course for me as a beginner . Greens were in reasonable condition, for this time of year. Had a great morning at The Wee Demon golf course and I will certainly be back soon.

Winter greens were fair, layout is a little bit strange. A lot of Par 3 holes I was over hitting. Simple course bit boring

Great course for the beginner

Played the “Wee Devil” with my partner who has just started playing golf and found it a very pleasant course.
