Trump Turnberry - King Robert the Bruce Course
About
The Trump Turnberry Hotel offers two golf courses right on the coast and with a well-known lighthouse as part of the view All levels of golfer can take on the hotel's two golf courses.
The King Robert the Bruce Course at the Trump Turnberry Hotel (formerly known as Trump Turnberry Resort - Kintyre Course) builds upon the many tests that were designed into the well-known old Arran course, and offers exhilarating links golf, with greens that undulate, fairways that provide a pretty trip to them, and beautiful holes.
Take in the view atop Bain's Hill, for example, after a quick climb from the seventh green, and marvel at how the added elevation extend the vista in every direction, then take your shot - the golfers behind you are waiting. Savor that eighth hole, though: it's the golf course's signature, with its drive from the elevated tee almost to the sea and a memorable second shot blind to a green in a gully near the rocks. Follow this with a thrill-packed coastal second shot on the ninth hole.

Absolutely incredible condition out there. Amazing experience
A lovely course
first time we have played the course since the Trump alterations. Very pleasantly surprised. Holes 8 to 11 have been changed for the better.will be back to play again
First time playing course since layout change, but still love this course!
Considering the rain over last 48 hours the course is great condition .
The staff in both pro shop and academy couldn’t have been more pleasant and helpful.
Our 4 ball had really enjoyable round,
Thanks
Stunning

King Robert the Bruce course
From the moment we arrived we were given a warm and friendly welcome.
We were given balls for the range prior to our round.
Welcomed by the starter, who talked us through the changes to the course.
All in all a great experience from start to finish.
Fantastic course
Great course fantastic new lay out pleasure to play
Played the course on the 28th Dec . It was great course was in brilliant condition would definetly recommend the course . The lynx & tatie scone rolls were majic also . 3rd time there this year will be back next year for more
Great experience on The Bruce
Rently opened after extensive remodelling the Bruce is much improved on the Kyntyre. Sadly the short par 4 8th with the green nestling in the cove is no more now being used as waste ground. You do play over it however
All parts of the course are in immaculate condition and the views from the top are fantastic
Amazing views
Very nice course with beautiful views. Played with very warm weather and blue skies, so the scenery was amazing. Course is in good condition. Some holes are shortened because of the undergoing changes but still an excellent round of golf. Loved it very much.
Great resort
Great condition kintyre course has new layout from the last time I played shorter but still great value
don't overlook this one
Like another reviewer, I played both courses at Turnberry on the same day in July, 2015 - played the Ailsa course first, and it is everything a ROTA course should be - thought this was the 'second class" course at the resort -hardly - great views, great caddies - the 8th hole is magnificent - well worth playing!!
The other 18
You are here for the other course, aren't you? Turnberry has, from my experience, the best 36 hole complex in Scotland. The Kintyre Course is still a good 18 holes of links golf. The most memorable hole is the 8th which presents options from the tee, a narrow path to try and drive it or lay up, either way it is the most scenic and with the options the best hole on the course. The course has a good mix of direction and long and short holes. I had a very enjoyable round.
Would you travel across the pond to play this course? I'd say no. However, if you are in Ayrshire for a week and need to fill in an itinerary , considering the price, there are good holes to be found and a round to be enjoyed. I was pleasantly surprised..
Shocked how great this was...
Went 36 holes at Turnberry that day and this course was the first round. Stood on the first tee dreaming about the afternoon round, believe this was going to be a round that we need to finish quickly, just to get to the more historic track.
Man was I surprised. So much fun and extremely memorable for its own set of reasons. The views are great, the holes are memorable and the last hole ends facing toward the classy white clubhouse and resort.
Thrilled I went 36 holes that day.
