Asta Golf Club has two nine-hole courses available, the Classic and the New. Both courses have a peacefully secluded feel thanks to their remote location in the Tingwall Valley. The older golf course has a more traditional layout that is shorter and less challenging than the New Course. Water hazards come into play more often and at 2,320 yards, it is nearly 300 yards longer than the Classic Course. The layout offers several risk-reward opportunities, with the finishing hole being one of the most memorable. There are different ways to play this tricky par 4. You can either try to go over the grassy ridge that obscures the green or try the equally risky option of aiming for the small sliver of green that is visible. More cautious players can play to the right and chip onto the green.
