Rating N/A

The Ferntower Course is the 18-hole championship layout at Crieff Golf Club, which has been voted 29th best golfing facility in the UK by the readers of Golf World magazine. Ferntower is built on gently sloping parkland, with views over the Strathearn Valley that dramatically improve and unfold as the round progresses. With mostly wide fairways and the rough cut short enough to avoid prolonged ball searching, Ferntower appeals to all categories of handicapper. The par-71 golf course starts with a par-3 hole, a change from the norm. Although the opening hole measures 163 yards, it's all uphill, and there are three par 5s, among the remaining holes on the front nine.

Course in great shape

Despite all the rain we have had the course was in amazing shape. A lovely course to play and not too hilly. Members are friendly and was invited to join a 3 ball as I was playing on my own. Highly recommend a visit and I will be back in the future.

Winter golf

Winter golf after horrendous weather. Winter greens and tee’s as expected due to hard frost. Signage for following tee boxes were very poor to say the least.
Fair play to even keep the course open.

Food afterwards was nothing short of atrocious. Chicken wings like they were cooked on a radiator, cold macaroni cheese , burger order incorrect. Overall dreadful in clubhouse

Great course

Very open on front 9, which is very tough. Gets tight on back 9 but a little easier.

Well worth it

Lovely setting nice and friendly tee off. straight but doesn’t need to be long, the aim of the game on this course. Brilliant sweeping par fives. Breathtaking scenery on 7th and panoramic views across Crieff. Smart finish and brilliant layout. Really well kept. Gets a 5/5 from me!

Great course

Me and my friends are over here on holiday and have been playing the usual tracks in St. Andrews and surrounding areas but this one of the best. The greens were the best I have putt on while on this trip. Overall conditions of the course were excellent and I will definitely play here when I am back over. Scott in the pro shop was very helpful as well.
