Played this course yesterday and we were pleasantly surprised at how good it really was! For this time of year, the course is in immaculate condition. The fairways and greens were perfect with barely a mark or dimple on them. The food at the clubhouse was also great with friendly and welcoming staff. Topped the day off with a pint and a few games of pool.
Would definitely recommend and we will back very soon.

Awesome!

We were told about this course by some Scottish lads who we played with at Forfar, they told us it was an awesome course, they was not wrong!
The course is in amazing condition and the greens are quick and true, a credit to the green keepers.
The club pro was very friendly and welcoming.

We will be back next year on our annual golf holiday.

Oh yeah, one other thing the clubhouse is also superb and the food is great! Thank you again to all connected with the golf club.

Great course and fun to play

We are on a mission to expand our horizons and play the local courses available to us. Auchterarder is in a great location, has stunning views, great variety and offers superb value for money. Often overlooked because of its next door neighbours, but doing so is a mistake. This is a good golf course, but don’t just take my word ….. play it!!

Great course and facilities

Course is in a great location, beside Gleneagles. The course is well looked after, the tees, fairways and greens all in super condition. The course is well sign posted and easy to follow. The clubhouse is very pleasant and the staff were very good. Good selection of food available and was well presented. They have a locker room for visitors and lockers are available and was very clean as were the shower and toilets facilities.
I will be back for another visit in the near future

Auchterarder

What a great place a real hidden gem,
Friendly pro in the shop happy to help,
The course layout and condition are excellent, not an easy course by any standards with a few very challenging holes but forgiving in most areas for the occasional miss hit. Would I go again? Most definitely

Overall a great course

Excellent course in great condition with friendly staff and a very competitive rate through golf now. Only negative was the slow play of a 3 ball ahead of us holding us up on virtually every hole. Even members were diverting across the course to get ahead of them . Not sure why people don't let others through. This is in no way the fault of the club so overall would definitely play again

Pace of Play Warning

Played on a Friday afternoon. The welcome was friendly & the course, which was in excellent condition, a gem. We played the first 6-holes at a good pace but from there on waited & waited & waited. Three groups on tee after tee was not unusual. These things happen but given the Club was pleased to take our money the lack of Club visibility on the course (e.g. a Marshall) was disappointing. Whilst Green Fee payers offer the Club useful financial support, Auchterarder did not provide a good experience in return. If you are looking for a course, which offers a reasonable pace of play, perhaps better to look elsewhere.

5th March 2023

Very enjoyable round of golf, greens are smooth run well! Practice facilities are good before play. Pro was very welcoming and explained the course well.

Shame that there is tee mats on some par 4,s. Golfer’s can’t remove there broken tee’s at 13 and a shocking winter mat compared to the rest we had played on, this left me and my playing partner with problems off the tee that we could not use driver as the tee hole was blocked full of broken tee’s and that the pair of us don’t have a driving iron to hit off the mat without a tee.

Apart from the winter mats on some par 4 tees, it was very enjoyable. Just a shame that there was two winter greens with no white marking that it was a winter greens. 17 had one marked out but the pin was further over on the approach to the main green.

We will be back throughout the season.
