Good course
Hard to review as I played the course nearly a year ago.
Golf Now send me a link to review the course I played TODAY! and it comes up with last year's round. Well done Golf Now.
This course is a good track. well worth playing from what I remember.
Great wee course
Lovely wee course at the foot of the campsies with some stunning views. Not a long course at 6000yds but that made a nice change not pulling the driver on nearly every hole. Course was in excellent condition considering the rain we have had and the greens were immaculate. At £12 for a round I thought it was a bargain. I have paid 3x that amount to play courses nowhere near the condition this one was in. I would definitely play here again.
Will be back
Nice challenge, great scenery and well kept course.
Will be back with friends.
Might want to get all the wee tiny frogs of the green next to the pond :)
Kilsyth Lennox
Really enjoyed the course today. Lots of work being done on the greens at the moment but course looking very good. One of the better courses in the Cumbernauld and Kilsyth area. Get yourself booked. Staff very friendly.
Good Condition and some nice holes
This course was in really good condition for this early stage of the season and was really enjoyable to play. I had played it many years ago but had forgotten how nice a course it was. The fact it was in such good condition made it more enjoyable. The greens were running nice and smooth credit to the keepers they must have worked hard to get it to this great standard.
Good interesting test
Good interesting track with some spectacular views. Good mix of holes requiring all the shots.
Below Par
Unfortunately course was very wet in some areas. Greens were extremely slow not what we expected. It's an excellent layout with plenty of risk and reward holes with course management a necessity. Warm welcome from starter although vending machine coffee and no food available was a bit of a let down.
Great course
Great course in really good condition. Great variety in holes with some nice views. Although there were restrictions in hitting off the fairways this was not a problem as the edges of the fairways were in good condition. Only slight negative was when a member from the group playing behind ours accused our group of hitting from the fairway. Luckily this occurred on the final hole as I found it rude and simply untrue. Overall a great golf experience and will definitely be back.
Kilsyth-Lennox
Given the recent amount of rain, the course was in fantastic condition. Greens and tee-offs in great nick also. Overall value for money and can’t wait to play during the Summer months!
Good course with water features.
Good course especially the front 9 with lovely water features. In good condition despite yesterday's heavy rain. Nice hilly surroundings.
Well kept course
Course is a little hilly , greens where very good and for £10 was excellent value for money ! Played on a Thursday and the course was not busy meaning we could take our time
Great Golf Course
Played this course three times now and really enjoy playing here. It is a good mix of straight forward holes and some challenging ones too. Especially where the fairway slopes left to right and others sloping right to left. Bunker positions are set to trap the unwary or just the unlucky.
Course in very good condition with superb greens. We will be back soon.
Great golf
Course in great condition with very good greens. Set on the side of the Kilsyth hills there is a bit of a climb between some of the holes. The course is well marked out and clear pathways between all holes. This was only the second time I have played here, and I will be back soon.
Highly recommended.
Not for the unfit golfer
Well played this course for the 1st time on 09/05/2018.
For once we had the sun and not much wind. This course isn't for the unfit as it's "very hilly". Next time I play I'll book a golf cart. But that's the down side. The up side is some beautiful golf holes and stunning looking greens. If a little hard to read one plays slow while another is slick and fast.
The views on a clear day are breath taking. This course is value for money if you get a good deal on tee off times. As not sure I'd pay full price when you factor in the cart you really NEED to hire. If you haven't played the course then please you must try it.
Oh one draw back the lack of markers on the blind holes in which there are a lot of was a bit of a pain. I was lucky my mate has played this course a few time. Other wise it was hit and hope.
Hidden gem
Always wanted to play this course as worked around the area for years, course was a bit wet but very playable. My home course was on winters but Kilsyth's greens were on,some great holes with fantastic views and i thoroughly enjoyed the round,i will be back in better weather.
Good course
Being an occasional golfer I have played the majority of courses in the Kilsyth and Cumberland area and in my humble opinion this is the best.
All the holes have some character to them and you can remember each hole when you are finished. (I sign of a good course in my opinion). it is not the longest of courses in the world but challenging never the less especially when the wind blows given you are on the side of a hill. the first few holes once you get past the 2nd are a delight, you genuinely feel you are in the middle of nowhere playing golf.
having played a few courses build on the side of a hill there is always the risk that the ball runs one direction all the time or you constantly feel you are fighting against the hill, Kilsyth is certainly not like that. the course has been very cleverly designed.
I played the course twice over the new year period, although the greens were slow, they were on the proper greens for all 18 holes and the course was remarkably dry under foot.
Definitely worth a round.
Will try again
Course looked great & was well directed between holes as there is a little bit of walking between some, only wish we'd been told before booking that we were playing from junior Tees & had to lift the ball off the fairways!! Will try again in the summer months.
