Since 1891, golf has been played at Kingussie Golf Club on Speyside in the Scottish Highlands. In 1908 Kingussie club members sought the advice of Harry Vardon in 1908 and extended the course to 18 holes. Today's golf course offers moderately easy walking on upland terrain, with a few short climbs at the fourth and eighth holes. In general the fairways are of a generous nature, but the course is deceptive and position off the tee is an important consideration, a factor often the key to low scoring. The course is kept in immaculate order and offers excellent greens and fairways. Kingussie Golf Club offers an excellent test of shot making, and is suited to golfers of all handicaps.
