Located in Leven, Scoonie Golf Club plays a short 5,100 yards (par 67) and is a great course for children or beginning players. The parkland course has no par 5s and finishes with two short par 4s. Three of the first five holes are par 4s and less than 300 yards.
The first hole, "Scoonie Burn," plays 355 yards and is the second-longest par 4 on the front nine. The other two comparatively long par 4s on the front side are the sixth and seventh, which play 393 and 342 yards, respectively.
The back side plays far shorter at just 2,300 yards compared to over 2,700 yards on the front side. The course closes with two short par 4s under 300 yards.
A round at Scoonie Golf Club costs 15 pounds and an all-day pass is 25 on weekdays. On weekends, it's 20 pounds per round and 35 for an all-day ticket.
Visitors are welcome any day of the week, except the Saturdays of club competitions. While technically a parkland course, the sea can be seen in the distance.
You can get to Scoonie Golf Club by taking A915 from Kirkcaldy, enter LEven and go right at the roundabout turn, followed by a left 400 yards later. Scoonie Golf Club originally opened in 1951.
