Located at the south end of the town of Kirkcaldy, Kirkcaldy Golf Club was established in 1904, and its beautiful setting provides views of Forth. Set on 150 acres, the club is located just 20 minutes from Edinburgh Airport.
Designed by Tom Morris, the par-71, 6,040-yard course caters to skills of all levels. A Scottish burn comes into play on five holes. The club is private, but visitors are welcome if they call in advance.
The course starts off with a 300-yard par 4 called "Brae" and is followed by a long, 230-yard par 3. Each par 4 on the front side is under 350 yards so many of the greens are drivable or at least a chip to the green.
The front side plays out in a little more than 2,800 yards. The back side is longer and has a 420-yard par 4, the only one over 400 yards. The side also has two par 5s over 500 yards including the dramatic 17th, named "Mill Dam."
The clubhouse was recently refurbished and has a charming restaurant and lounge, as well as locker room facilities and a conference room for business. Visitors are welcome all day all times.
Kirkcaldy Golf Club is located off A92 west, past the town centre off Beveridge Park and at the top of Balwearie Road.
