Dunnikier Golf Club

Description

Dunnikier Park Golf Club, located on the outskirts of Kirkcaldy is a well-maintained 18-hole parkland municipal course. The holes feature tree-lined, rolling fairways and a few bunkers.

The course is very forgivable to beginners and has two sets of tees, playing 6,601 yards from the backs and 5,279 yards from the forward tees. Both nines finish with bearish par 5s, the 18th playing 547 yards. The course offers great value to residents and travelers to Fife.

The first hole is named "Alpha" and is a 423-yard par 4. The front nine is a par 36 and has the traditional two par 5s and two par 3s. Both par 5s play at more than 500 yards and the ninth is the longest hole on the side, named "Lang Whang."

The back side isn't as long as the front at just 3,250 yards compared to 3,326 on the front. The 12th is a 600-yard monster followed by one of the course's most fun short par 4s. The final hole plays 498 yards and is reachable in two when the wind is at your back.

Dunnikier Park is located on the north side of Kirkcaldy and can be accessed by a service road off Dunnikier Way, near Kirkcaldy High School. The facilities include a bar, catering facilities, changing rooms for men and women and a pro shop.
