Dunfermline Golf Club was founded in 1887 and has moved to four different sites. The last of the moves came in 1953 when land overlooking the Firth of Forth was purchased. The course is in an undulating parkland layout and the surrounding areas have become a haven for wildlife. An original tower house makes for a dramatic landscape. The club plays 5,800 yards and finished with two par 5s over the last four holes, including the 480-yard finishing hole. The clubhouse at Dunfermline was refurbished in 2002 and restored the historic building, which dates back to the early 15th century.
