Lovely course.
Well looked after.
Extremely friendly staff.
Great pro shop.
Only down side if anything but all courses have to carryout work, there was ground work being carried out on the bunkers.
But this didn't bother us at all.

My first moan is in these COVID days, I was unaware we were Going to play with two strangers Who were obviously outside our bubble, I booked as a 2 ball so was very surprised and annoyed to see us going out as a four ball , not a good start !
The course itself is challenging but having wide fairways help, the tree lines didn’t !
Every thing was in good order accept all the bunkers were being rebuilt. But overall a lovely course and a challenge for any golfer

Great layout and an easy walk. Relatively short course with plenty of tree lines and bunkers. Requires you to play various shots with its dog leg holes and small fast greens. Few holes with fantastic views across Penarth and the bay.

Ok. I accept this course can suffer after long periods of torrential rain and if you go there after such weather it can be boggy in places However generally this is a stunning course in fantastic condition. Greens are perfect and the bunkers have all recently had a huge overhaul. Fairways well kept. Great variance of holes. My favourite course to pay and play. Good social aspect also with great choice of beers.

Being a novice the open fairways and room for error r perfect lovely views and testing holes but plenty of challenges along the course only down point was directions for the next hole and 60% of the bunkers r under repair... But for a novice it's very kind and plenty of room plus u won't lose many balls either haha

Friendly staff, excellent practice area. It was very busy in the 1st tee with numerous 4 balls ahead.

Had a call whilst i was on my way that the course was open but only 9 holes. We turned up thinking no problem 9 holes of golf played twice and we’d get our money’s worth. I was wrong. Conditions were awful, the 3rd hole’s green was being repaired and they just put a flag in the middle of the fairway. How can that be classed as a hole. Whilst walking you were sinking into the mud and some areas weren’t safe. Made playing unrealistic. No offer of a discounted round.

Lovely course with a good mix of memorable par 3's and par 5's. Some fantastic driving holes and the greens were fantastic apart from 18 which had a number of small on the line of my putt. (Didn't wreck my round luckily) Not sure if they had a small animal issue there. Tee's weren't always level but it seems most courses I play these days have a similar problem. After 16 years of only playing now and again this was my first time back in 18 years (9/11 actually) and I have to say the club seems a lot less snooty now. Played 8 holes with a member named Phil and it was a far cry from my previous visit when as a 10 handicapper on my own, a 4 ball of seniors in front not only didn't offer to let me play through and get out of there hair, but didnt even acknowledge me. Literally blanked me as if I wasnt there. I then had a senior female 'match' come up behind and play straight through me. I swore at that point I wouldn't ever go back and as you can tell I'm still bitter ;-) Anyway it was definitely more welcoming now. It's a great course and I virtually shot my handicap of 16 years ago which is always a bonus. I'll definitely go back.

Enjoyable course quite a few hazards and bunkers that actually have sand in them but like any course you need to play it a few times to know where they are.

First time on this course, got a little lost on couple of back nine. Course in good condition with plenty of bunkers and water hazards around no8. Well worth a visit

Lovely course in excellent condition. Greens were quick for the time of year and superbly maintained. Had a great day out.

Best greens I have played on this year. Greenkeepers to be commended.
Course is challenging for all handicaps and played exceptionally well given our current drought conditions. Fairways and light rough burnt but gave very playable lies.
Will definitely play again soon

Only 9 holes open and was not made aware of this prior to arrival. Course was in terrible condition, bunkers out of play and appalling greens!
