Lac La Biche GC

The 3 hour drive from home to the Lac La Biche Golf Club is worth the drive anytime but it's even better to make the drive for the golf clubs annual September one man scramble.

A marvelous 18 hole layout with both nines falling away from a hilltop clubhouse. Hole 1, a challenging 388 yard, downhill par 4 that can be played conservatively (lay up to the water hazard 220 yards out) or if you're feeling lucky, attempt to carry the 260 yard hazard. The next two holes play through the woods before opening again up as you play towards the lake. There is a great mix of dogleg rights and lefts, well placed bunkers and sculpted greens that command your attention.

As you make the turn, sharpen up your skills as you're playing back into the woods. The fairways start to tighten up, most greens well protected by good sized bunkers and a few elevation changes. Holes 15, 16, 17 and 18 are fabulous holes to finish off your round as it's not unheard of to finish off with a flurry of birdie opportunities.

A challenging venue, great conditioning, friendly staff, scenic views, a well stocked pro shop and excellent meals and service in the clubhouse.
