Add this course to your list
One of my favorite public courses to play within Bucks, Berks, Lebanon, and Lancaster County. Following a week of heavy rains and being early in the year, the course is in good condition, and I can only expect it will improve throughout the spring and summer based on rounds played last year. Well worth the 1-1/2 hour drive to play a great course at a fair price.
Well maintained, even in winter.
It's still technically winter so grass was brown. There was repairs being performed and a lot of improvements being made. It was still playable with work ongoing. some paved areas on the cart paths need attention but I can see some patches were repaired from last season already. I love the course layout and the undulating fairways
What a course!
The layout is cool with no two holes alike. Some are completely there for the taking, while others you have to sit back on. It plays a bit easier than other PB Dye courses I’ve played, but don’t let that be a deterrent, this course is a blast. Looking forward to getting back out there in the summer when the leaves are on the trees and in the fall when they change color.
First time playing
I'm usually a bogey golfer... shot 96 some very challenging holes.
Can Never Go Wrong at Iron Valley
Have been playing this course for over a decade and cant think of a single issue I've run into(outside of fog). It is always in great shape, greens run smooth & challenging enough to keep you on your toes.
Tips: Stay out of the rough. You don't need driver on some par 4s.
If you are looking for a great course that is appropriately priced Iron Valley is the course for you.
Awesome layout. Greens had been plugged and sanded, but I understand it is necessary to ensure proper green health so I am fine with it.
One Heck of a Golf Course!!
I live in Jackson, TN, and my home course is Bent Tree Golf course. It is a challenging, hilly, links style course. We always say that if you can play at Bent Tree, then you can play anywhere. Well I met my match. Iron Valley is an amazing course. Very hilly, challenging, and picturesque. The greens were in amazing shape, as well as, the fairways. The terrain and elevation changes will give you a run for your money. I can’t wait to come back and play the course again now that I have played and know how the course should be played. Pete Dye really taught his son how to build a golf course.
Greens, fairway’s, & boxes were in great condition…No cart person.
Just missing a few things
The course layout is beautiful and condition is just under top notch. My only complaint about the course was the slow speed of the greens. They were pretty long and also pretty sticky. Not exactly what i was expecting for beginning of September. Also the snack bar was closed after we were done the first nine and never was visited by the cart girl. Only saw her driving away in the distance as i imagined what a nice cold beer would taste like.
exquisite course
whether you are near or far, this course is beautiful and offers a challenge. Up or down, dog legs left or right, and island greens: this course is one to remember and enjoy with a group.
Superior Course
Beautiful course with the right twists and turns. This course challenges any level player with the right amount of dog legs and rolling hills. Perfect greens and well manicured fairways, a must visit!
Great layout
P. B. Dye put it together which to me means, hard to beat. Would love to see how a top pro would take it on. If you enjoy elevations this is the one to play.
Great value
One of the best public courses in the Lancaster area!
Challenging beauty
Fun and good looking course but tough if you're not on your game.
Spectacular course
As someone who does not splurge on greens fees I will always drop the money for this course, it's close, challenging, fun, and just a great place to spend 4 hours playing
