Editor's Note: Course closed for business in 08/2023.

Holly Hill Golf Course is a nine-hole course that is ideal for beginners but it is also a fun, quick round for more advanced players. The par-36 layout measures out to just over 3,000 yards. It is a very player-friendly layout that beginners who are not ready for a full-length course can approach with ease. There are subtle but tricky contours as well as a few strategically placed bunkers that will give you some practice with course management. While it is not the most challenging round you will find in this area of South Carolina, Holly Hill Golf Course provides a great, quick round for when you have a bit of extra time and the affordable rates and excellent maintenance appeal to all players regardless of skill level.

Fun course but not in great shape

I had a good time playing the course but it’s conditions leave it low on playing again. Granted it’s early in the season but the greens were rough. The tee boxes were ok. The fairways were in need of clean up

9 hole Holly Hill Golf Course

The 9 hole course was in fair condition as grass was tall on the tee boxes, fairways, and around the green. Although I did not use them, there is a driving range and putting area. Only one, very pleasant person running the shop and snack bar. Rates are very inexpensive, carts are optional, and the course was only fairly busy for a Saturday.

Amazing course!

Very impressed. Wonderful layout. Great for a novice golfer but also offers difficulty as well. Greens were in great shape this time of year and fairways were good as well. Staff was extremely friendly! Will be going back soon!

Holly Hill

Enjoyed the round. Pace of play did slow at times because of a 9 hole layout, not enough holes to spread everyone out. With that said I played the holes differently on the second time around, it helped me understand my game a bit better. Will play again.

Great Value for the area

Overall the course is in good condition compare to others I have played in the area. Only one green with spotty grass. I was able to play the ball down with reasonable lies in most all the fairways. Overall a nice morning round of golf.

They told my cart path only for the day I played because it hold alot of water , half the course didn't even have a cart path, so for first timers playing there like me had a hard time to figure out where talso aalso tree roots all in there far way, I almost broke my iron on a shot because I wasn't expecting a root to be there, but it is definitely the Definition of a country club haha but for 18 bucks for a full round you get what you pay for i guess

I’m sorry, I couldn’t understand your comment based on all the grammatical errors, try proof reading before posting. I’ve played there for 10 years and have had nothing but the best experience.

Crap course

Do not play this course it is the biggest piece of crap I’ve ever played in my life of 40 years of golfing. The golf now hot deal is more expensive than regular rate. Major scam. Stay away.

Golf now hot deals expenses are separate from the golf courses. If you paid extra through their site then you need to reach out to them. That is not the fault of the course, blame should not be put on them. This course has the original greens from 50 years ago and everytime I go I have an amazing experience. If you are a seasoned Hilton head, Kiawah golfer then obviously this 9 hole course will not match those of luxury resort courses. I’ve been playing for 20 years and this is by far the best practice course in South Carolina along with the best customer service. Deterring people away from a course because you decided it’s not up to your standards is ignorant and low. Please do better.

Great time! Great Value!

A fun course, will definitely be back. Played a little slow, fairway grass was a little long, but the ball never really sunk into it for a bad lie. The rough was short and manageable. Staff was super friendly and the slower pace allowed us to talk to the group ahead of us. We began playing together and finished our first nine. Everyone was friendly. I would recommend!

Good irons course!!

Just long enough a 4-5 iron off the tee but short enough you had to hit good wedges into green. Greens weren’t the best.

Stopped on our way back from Charleston to Charlotte. Not too far off the interstate. Super pleasant walk in the pines for a reasonable price. Easy walk, although the cart up charge wasn’t too much if I remember correctly. Some fairly straightforward holes with some tighter doglegs that challenge you if you want to go for it. Pretty open but there are a few trees that interfere with approach shots if you aren’t in the right spot. Clubhouse seemed nice on the inside and renovated. Would stop back by for a pleasant round. Only played 9. Nice little putting area and the range looked nice as well. Cool grass air strip across the road so we saw a couple prop planes coming in low during our round which was fun.

Just what we needed!

We absolutely loved starting off our Thanksgiving with Alyssa at Holly Hill Country Club. We have played some high end courses with a few stiff upper lips and bully’s waiting with hands on their hips...but Country Club is exactly what you get her...a Club for golfing, swimming or playing tennis out in the country.

Friendly, courteous, respectful and laidback! The perfect venue to work on the best version of yourself or the sport you are trying to embrace.

Most Gracious for all the “Drives” we had out in the country today.
