Good Course & Great Staff
I frequently play the Sea Ranch Links course. The greens are always in excellent shape and the fairways are steadily improving. The staff is very friendly and always accommodating. They always make me feel welcome.
Winter golf
It was a beautiful day on the coast. Tsrgc was in good shape. Finally green grass. Should be great this spring. Keep up the hard work.
Fun course
Fon to play but weather a factor in winter. Look for sunny days.
course in transition
Differed maintenance seems to be the main issue, not much play up there so no money to fix things. They have stopped watering most fairways.
Such potential
Location: beautiful. Layout/ cool.
Condition: yuck. Fairways brown and patchy. Bunkers terrible. Greens nice in spots but lots of patches.
Put some money into this course and it could be a destination type golf. course … build a few for a NorCal Bandon Dunes.
For now. I’ll check it off my list and not be back.
Sea Ranch links a tough course for short and new golfers.
Sea Ranch Links was fun for me. I'm a low handicap player that doesn't hit the ball as far as I use to. You must think about what you should hit off EVERY tee. I hit as little as a nine iron off one tee then had to hit a wood to carry a hazard. If you're new to the game bring extra golf balls and forget about score and just have fun.
Oh by the way it gets pretty windy.
Beautiful views on windy day; Challenging conditions
First time to Sea Ranch. Staff was welcoming and friendly. Nice grass driving range and well kept putting and chipping greens. Links style course was challenging with frequent natural barriers to navigate. On our day the course was blustery but sunny; our sweatshirts were mostly on all day. A good course, despite the challenges, makes me want to try it again.
beautiful setting
Enjoyed the rounds.....always windy in June. Carts are in very poor condition and bunkers and distance markers are hap hazard. Some challenging holes and well laid out.
great course
I play this course every opportunity I get to visit Sea Ranch...The new management is making great progress in making it even better...If you're not a straight hitter than bring extra balls as the rough is rough. Love the new white Tee box on 14...thanks
West Coast Diamond In The Rough
2nd time playing here in twenty years and even more amazed than the first time. This is a must play destination course as it’s far from civilian life, yet so memorable from start to finish.
Trouble can be found on every hole. Avoid bunkers at all costs IMO. With links holes, tree lined gems, “gorsh,” and plenty of rough, you need to be long and or straight here, carve the ball left and right, know when & where to lay up, and lag putt well.
This is an awesome course, design, and layout. Anyone that says otherwise doesn’t know pure golf. What a walk in the park! This course has just about it all…
Good challenging course
Course just reopened after being closed from so much rain that they couldn't do any maintenance. Greens are in pretty good shape but some of the rough has yet to be mowed as it is still wet in some areas. It was a windy day but there is enough trees growing next to the course that only a few holes are in the full wind.
Backhoe
Hit a backhoe bucket on my second shot to the first green that probably would have been on and close but bounced back 30 yards It wasn’t there when I teed off. It was spar that could have been an eagle. Scratch that off my bucket llist
Great course!
Beautiful course in great condition. Some fairways lacking grass but overall in good shape. Slow greens
