Money well spent

Course has fantastic drainage, greens are very nice, first 8 holes are a little hilly but no where near as bad as some people claim.

Really enjoyed playing my first round here, might even join as a member!

Game of two halves

Course is very different first 7 similar to other course here some great holes, back 10 more flat ish, greens had been cored which was a shame, but having played the other course yesterday can see the benefit of ensuring good upkeep on them. A challenging course and you need to be able to drive the ball well. A good driving course will play again. Ellis in the pro shop got us out with no issues and let us know about the coring

Great course, golfnow books 4 golfers and the other two guys added an extra person so it meant we needed to play as a 3 and 2 ball, so got caught behind them since they were slow. Otherwise course itself was great, staff very helpful and good value for money, would recommend. Just know you might need to share tee time with other golfnow members

Dullatur Carrickstone

Excellent course, great condition.
Would recommend a buggy as one hole in particular was a bit of a climb.
Would play again.

Pro shop staff terrible

Travelled to this course to find out the course was shut due to rain 2 days prior. Guy in the pro shop had a poor ‘couldn’t give a toss’ attitude to lack of notice. How hard is it to pick up the phone to a few people on golf now. Checked online to see if there were any courses open nearby to see they are still advertising tee times.
Played the course once before and wasn’t great condition during summer either. Wouldn’t recommend

Golf now hot deal

The course was in excellent condition. The greens were good and still fast despite wet weather over the last months. Good variety of long and short holes make the course an interesting test of golf.

Wow

A course described as the best in the local area... Best assault course perhaps! Couldn't fault the staff, course conditions was decent and clubhouse facilities were good, but if your wanting a game of golf then this is not the place for you - unless perhaps you are partial to combining golf with hill trekking.
I would advise that if you are intent on testing your game on this course that it would prove prudent to arrange a buggy.
I only managed the first seven holes before deciding this was not golf as I usually know it and threw in the towel. Unfortunately this is the first golf course I have actually walked off due to its gradient being beyond what is reasonable - and I've played a lot of hilly courses.
On a more positive note - the 6th hole (Par 3) is a gorgeous golf hole.

Stunning views

Very hilly course, get a buggy! Course was in good condition and a good layout. Wouldn’t pay full price especially if I was forking out for a buggy as well, but definitely worth it if you get a deal.

Colin

Played this course a few times now always thought it was a bit over priced but got it for £12 on a Monday afternoon and it was worth every penny very well set up without all the holes being crammed together like most courses, the greens were near perfect condition. Would happily play here again and would advise other people to give it a try.

Tina

Too hilly for my liking.
The first 7 holes are a bit iffy.
When you come back up the hill the holes from the 8th hole onwards are a bit better.
No other people on the course so got round in 3hrs 20min.

Challenging layout with fast greens

Whilst I felt that the back 9 was the better of the two halves, overall this is a challenging layout with very good slick greens. With the exception of the two 5 pars, length off the tee is no real advantage. I left the driver in the bag on a number of the par 4s, since position off the tee often more important.

The greens were fast and mostly true. Many with slopes making a lot of putts more defensive than I would like. Only poor green was 15, a par 3 with a sloping green. If you went past the hole it was near impossible to keep the ball on the green.

Overall an enjoyable course and excellent value
