Super!
Faultless day out. Course was in great condition considering recent weather. Everyone connected were very welcoming and friendly.
Impressive all round.
Clubhouse facilities were excellent. Had breakfast bagel which was exceptional. Course was in excellent considering recent poor weather. Enjoyed food and drinks after round.
The course is in superb condition and greens are perfect.also must remark on the new clubhouse and accommodation really taken Tenby golf club into the next few years.all round good experience.
Superb Links course
Absolutely stunning course. 1st time I played it I lost loads of balls. Huge tip after playing it a second time try and keep the driver in the bag not all holes require it. Hero shots get you in trouble here and result in triples.
Fairways are tight undulating pot bunkers everywhere all at the right length for drives. The greens are the best I have seen and played the spin reaction is incredible.
Stunning views of the course and caldey from the 9th
Scenic view of Tenby beach ⛱️,
Interesting layout and challenging course. You need a few spare balls.
Testing Tenby
Second time playing a links course. This course is well signposted with markers with a fair amount of obvious blind shots. The course at the time was upgrading the facilities (bar, shop etc). But the course in general in great order and playing well
Testing but good
First time played and had a good round. It is quite a tight course, but all holes have unique challenges. The clubhouse is under going significant renovations. Play was quite slow on the front 9 and I paired with another single player for most of the round, but we had a 3 ball in a buggy who were a bit inpatient behind us, despite us having a 4 ball in front of us.
A Jones
First them playing the course, warm welcome in the pro shop. The course is true links, undulating fairways, pot bunkers, thick rough. I enjoyed it very much. The layout is excellent, the greens were firm but true. There are some really good holes, my favourite was the 9th. The views from the course are outstanding. A must play course. Only downside was the clubhouse is undergoing re development so couldn't enjoy a post round pint, but I'm sure once it is done it will be worth it. All in all a great day's golf, a must play course
Fabulous
Course still in fabulous condition even after all the bad weather..
Absolutely Superb in extremely difficult conditions
Just superb in 45 mile an hour winds. What a challenge . Course after all this rain in greAt conditions. Love Tenby Simply the Best
Tenby golf Sunday in january
Played this course In mid January after a week of heavy rain and wind. Most courses in Somerset where i live were closed or in terrible condition. Found tenby on golf now and it did not dissappoint. Made the 6 hour round trip to play there and if was definately worth the trip. Course was in beautiful condition especially for January. Greens were running very fast and true loads of blind shots but its a lovely quirky little course
Wet and wild
Even in brutal conditions you cant fail to love tenby course is in fantastic condition for end of october 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Great value links
Played on a cold, wet, and windy day but the quality of the course meant I wasn’t disappointed. The Friendly club pro enabled an earlier tee time than booked, which is always a nice bonus when possible. The mid section (holes 3-13) stood out. They felt of true links style, required creativity in the wind, and came with some great views. The stretch of holes as you turn from the far end of the course and begin the back 9 are amongst the best I’ve played and alone would make a visit worthwhile for most golfers.
Although I’d imagine it would play much tougher in the summer months, it felt a bit more forgiving than the likes of porthcawl or P&K - which is no bad thing. It also looks like a fair bit of investment has gone into the course - tee boxes, paths etc. The greens were all to a very high standard, with a consistent speed and very true roll.
I paid £45 for a midweek round which, whilst not been a bargain, is fair value for the experience offered. Strongly recommend!
Stunning Condition
Having only played the course over 20 years ago and not remembering the layout it enjoyed the course.
Nice to play in December with no mud on your ball trousers or shoes.
We even played the ball as it laid no need to pick and clean.
The pro Rhys was so accommodating and we are playing it again on Monday.
Unreal..
I can’t praise this club enough, the price to start with was £10.50 per golfer. Now this is a cheap round, you’d expect some rough around the edges and maybe some dodgy winter greens for this time of year. Think again.. greens were pure and quick, turf was a joy to hit off, fantastic links feeling turf. I could hit irons all day of the stuff, compressed sounding strikes, no fat sounding muddy hits. I would have been happy paying £40/£50 for my round. Had no one in front and a two ball behind, pace of play was perfect. Get down there while you can for this price, it can’t last..
Tough course in the wind
I played the course in November in 40 MPH winds BBC and found it in forgiving. On a fine windless day it would be beautiful.
