Great day!
Very friendly people. Good value and a nice course for the new to intermediate golfer. Course was in nice shape, and you can see they are continuing to make improvements. I will go back, and I enjoy this course.
Eh.
Saw the course on golf now and had a deal of the day. Said 18 holes and a cart for $23. Sounded great. Then when you check out it said 9 holes? Pay the extra fees and everything so wnd up with 9 holes for 28 bucks. Then the guy in the pro shop seemed like we were a bother to even show up. So ended up paying 50 bucks for 18 holes and got treated poorly. Wow. Not very good for a course in my opinion. We like to travel and see different courses, shame I won't be back to this one.
Great value
I just played Dodge Point for the first time in at least 5 years. I understand that the course changed ownership in that time, and I was impressed with the changes they have made. The biggest change is a rerouting of the holes which mixes up the original 9 holes with the new 9 holes added around 15-20 years ago. This is a change for the better because the original 9 has many long holes with many mature trees, while the new nine is more open and forgiving. They also added a number of new white tees which made several of the longest holes a little friendlier for the average player. And there is now a set of blue tees, some in new locations, which are quite challenging. The layout remains hilly and scenic with great views throughout, no development around the course and provides a great feel for rural Wisconsin.
The greens were in excellent shape and those on the newer holes have really improved. The fairways were soft and cut perfectly in spite of the recent dry weather. The excellent conditions must be the work of a capable superintendent and reflect a lot of attention to detail.
Employees in the clubhouse and bar were very friendly and accommodated our group in every way possible. Beer prices were as low as anything I've seen all year.
Dodge Point is a fantastic value and is an easy, scenic drive only about 35 minutes from the west beltline in Madison. We got a great value at Dodge Point and will return as soon as we can!
Golf trip
Greens were fantastic smooth and true Little slower than used to Took a few holes to get speed It has been two years since there and I notice many improvements Overall very good course conditions will be back there in about three weeks for an outing looking to playing again inside staff treated us very well
Good Value, Ok Course
The greens were in really poor condition but everything else was good. All of the greens were dry, hole-y, and extremely slow. Good value for how much we paid however.
Great layout and value.
Nice layout and sight lines. Southwest Wisconsin rolling hills. Greens were consistent. Will play again.
Nice Course
Course was a little short from the white tees. But was well maintained and greens were really smooth.
Staff was very friendly. Definitely worth trying!
It was fun!
A good day.
I had heard that the course had been improved recently and booked through your site. The course itself is quite raw. The fairways are cut a little long and the greens are quick. The course is fair. Not too much water. We will return. Thanks for your help Corry!
Poor Management
Our group golfed through golfnow. We paid 27 dollars each for 18 holes and a cart. After we were done golfing we sat in the bar and had three rounds each. The bar was full from an outing and as we went to leave we were approached and told that we need to learn to read our confirmation better because our price was for 18 holes walking not riding. He made us feel like we were trying to pull a fast one in front of the other customers. When I checked my golfnow app on the way home it was actually listed both ways. In essence they were correct as so were we but the thing that I feel was wrong was the very POOR customer service. If this is how they treat non member golfers I would not suggest this course to anyone.
nice course
the course was in fine shape, some challenging holes and would recommend everyone play if in area. had enjoyable day
Pleasant suprise
Course was surprisingly maintained, even though I only saw 1 employee there for the entire 18 holes. Tee boxes, greens & sand traps were in excellent shape. Staff of One was very friendly. All larger groups on the course let me play through which made for 18 holes in record time. Rough was extremely dry due to lack of rain the last few months. Price was great through GolfNow. Only thing I would like to see is better range balls (they looked older than me)
well worth the drive to Dodge Point Country Club
tee boxes are flat and well manicured fairways are wide and rough is manageable greens are soft and roll nicely would definitely play here again.
challenging course, great value
Definitely worth the drive. Beautiful scenery. Great water hazards. Very challenging greens!
hidden treasure, for the money
well maintained course, with many interesting holes. fast greens, and some what firm fairways. fun to play, and will do it again.
