Annesley Links is one of two championship courses at Royal County Down Golf Club. Annesley is a much shorter layout than the original course at the club, the Championship Links, but they share the same majestic landscape and panoramic sea and mountain views. Despite the difference in length, both courses offer the same level of challenge. The beautiful Murlough Nature Reserve provides the stunning, dune-covered landscape. The layout features carefully contoured greens and expansive swathes of heather and gorse lining the fairways. The golf club dates back to 1889, but the dunes are over 5,000 years old. Royal County Down is arguably the best golf facility in the country, but it might be difficult to get a tee time considering it is also one of the most exclusive clubs in Ireland. Membership is by invitation only.
