Tres Marias Residential Golf Club's North course runs along an expansive mountain valley, lending it an extraordinary landscape covered rocky outcroppings. The golf course is named after a regional landmark, located on the site, of a rock formation resembling three standing silhouettes. Situated in the colonial city of Morelia between Guadalajara and Mexico City, the golf course is the centerpiece of a secluded 1,000-home residential community surrounded by mountain ridges. Jack Nicklaus took full advantage of the beautiful terrain when designing the golf course by incorporating the lakes and gullies that are sprinkled throughout into challenging hazards. There are also bunkers strategically placed throughout.
