TPC Danzante Bay
About
The 7,237-yard course at TPC Danzante Bay climbs through inspiring canyons on the front nine, visits the beach briefly for the 12th and 13th holes before the climax is revealed. The par-3 17th hole will quickly become one of the world's great destination par 3s, a hole so dramatic that golfers will come just to play its tee shot. The elevated tees on no. 17 look down upon an hour-glass-shaped green cut into seaside cliffs. The hole sits isolated from the rest of the course on the other side of the mountains. It was Perry who made the discovery and pushed for routing changes to accommodate its construction. The key to its addition was building two shorter par 4s that climb the mountainside without feeling overbearing. The just-as-scenic final hole, a stout par 4, tumbles downhill toward the resort.

Amazing course
This has to be one of the best courses I've played in, its surrounded by natural beauty, is well maintained and hole 17 is a gem!!. Highly recommend
Spectacular views . Love the 17th Hole
We enjoyed the course very much. Very beautiful course.
everyone very nice, friendly, and accommodating.
Constructive criticism: If Renting clubs is necessary, I would recommend Danzante Bay Club to provide a golf club selection that is of the utmost prestige (Used golf Clubs are not a great way to present a fine establishment). Equipment is as important to have an enjoyable game..
I do look forward to to playing Danzante Golf Resort again.
Respectfully,
Avid Golfers
The best bang for the buck
The course is in great condition and every hole is unique and has stunning views. Also in winter when it blows a lot on the Baja it is well protected on most holes
A Great Day!
The staff is very helpful and yu can easily order food and drinks and they bring them out to yu. The course is well maintained and workers give you balls they find as yu drive by. The head pro Danny Garcia is shear delight. The resort has an amazing setting so stay and play is a great opportunity.
Very breathtaking course!
Excellent staff always a cart girl around horse was just absolutely stunning and breathtaking. Can’t wait to go there again soon!
A Must Play on any Golfer’s Bucket List
This course, in addition to being a lot of fun to play, has what must be some of the best scenery for a golf course anywhere in the world. Sure, it’s a bit expensive, but you certainly get what you pay for. The rates change mid-morning and early afternoon. If you have the first twilight tee time you can get your full round completed. We were 3-1/2 hours yesterday afternoon, and less than four hours today - that’ makes for an enjoyable pace of play. If you love the game of golf, a holiday at Villa Del Palmar near Loreto is definitely very, very worthwhile.
Outstanding
Danzante is an excellent course. Unbelievable views and holes, the course was in great condition and it's great value for money. It was a shame the course was so empty and people not out there enjoying it. I'm sure it will gain more popularity once people find out how good it is. The staff are very friendly and accommodating, I cannot wait to return.
Awesome Course and Resort
I had the opportunity to play this course three days in a row and what an experience each day was. The weather was great, the course conditions were great and the layout was great. No complaints except that maybe the first day the greens were running about 10. After that round, we mentioned that to the course Pro and he had the greens cut and rolled to about 12 for the next two days. The greens were sloped and quick, but yet very receptive of the golf ball. I was there with a group of 20 players and each day we played, the number of rounds played for those days was about 40; the highest they have ever had at the course in one day. The entire staff (Course Pro, Director of Golf, range staff, Course Assistant, Beverage Assistants, etc) was extremely nice and willing to do what it took for us to be comfortable and enjoy the experience. We stayed at the resort on property and it was awesome as well. It is an all-inclusive set-up which was a wonderful experience.
Amazing Can't safe enough!
This course is amazing!!! You've never seen anything like it. 17 is a breathtaking par 3 that you almost don't want to play because you don't want the view to be over.
Plenty of ocean views here and red mountain range enclose the course. I can't say enough about how unique this course is to play.
Plenty of options with multiple tee boxes. The entire course is playable by anyone. Play multiple days you can relax and enjoy the view then back up and have more of a challenge tomorrow.
Also the staff is amazing at the course and the resort. You'll know everyone's name and feel like family by the end of the first day.
Fabulous Course
This was my third time playing this course in the past week. I think this is one of the best courses in Baja including the many I've played in Cabo. Spectacular views on nearly every hole and #17 is every bit as special as any ocean course anywhere. The pace of play was fantastic, conditions were great and the staff totally helpful. This is a new course and the clubhouse/pro shop has a bit of a temporary feel to it, but the food was good and if you want something more you can go to the 5 star hotel by golf cart. Would play again and again, but gotta go home!
Must play Danzante Bay!
One of the more unique experiences in golf, what Owen Perry, owner, and Rees Jones, designer, have created in the rocky and mountainous surrounds overlooking the Sea of Cortez is simply spectacular. You'll see and hear a lot about the 17th hole, a Golden Tee green on the cliffs in which you'll need to watch your step and you might catch a glimpse of migrating whales. But the reason why you'll love this course has more to do with the width, scale, fun factor, conditioning, service and general setting throughout the round. Try playing the front nine in the late-afternoon. And if tis windy, don't be afraid to move up a set of tees.
Worth the trip!
Had the good fortune to play TPC Danzante Bay while hosting a Golf Advisor Getaway in December. Didn't bring my clubs because I wasn't sure I would be able to play, but sure glad that I was able to experience this Rees Jones designed gem.
This single 18 hole course is part of the Danzante Bay resort which is tucked into the small town of Loreto, Mexico. Danzante has a full service resort with all the amenities. The staff and service are extremely friendly and attentive. While getting there isn't the easiest (a few flight options in/out of Loreto LTO), I was informed there will be more in 2019.
The course itself is spectacular in a host of different way. First, the layout is fun yet challenging. Choose the right tees for your skill level and there is plenty of room out there. If you do stray far off the green stuff, best to leave it in the rocky desert surroundings. Second is the scenery, whether you are headed up or down the canyons or hitting shots toward the mountains that rise up from the ocean, there are easily a half a dozen holes that most courses would consider a "signature hole". Finally, the conditioning is immaculate. The greens staff pay total attention to detail and the course isn't over-burdened with too much play.
Stunning!!!
Danzante Bay is a very playable and extremely picturesque course. There are 5+ tee boxes, the fairways are wide, bunkers have good sand and the greens run well. Our round started with the friendly staff greeting us and ensuring we had everything we needed. This is definitely one of the most stunning courses we have ever played.
