Proper layout, great challenge
Great layout and a proper challenging golf course. Links feel with distant coastal views. Some significant changes with reduced bunkering over last few years - all beneficial to layout, pace of play and overall enjoyment. Dry summer means some areas, especially closed bunkers are somewhat bare, and not being a true links, means green surrounds and greens are hard and fast. Still highly recommended.
Superb golfing challenge with stunning views
Challenging golf course. Super layout which keeps you focused on every shot. Well worth a visit.
Highly reccomend!
This course is easily one of the best courses I have played, everything about the course from tee to green and the facilities are top class. Great course design with some very tricky holes where some thought into club section is required, and the greens were perfect. It's a hilly enough course so a buggy could be recommend if your not used to it but not essential
Expensive enough green fees but when you think about the quality of the course it's actually reasonable enough
Will definitely be back!
Excellent course and good value
The course was in excellent condition and staff friendly and accommodative. The tee time was good and play continued at a satisfactory pace. The green fee provided by golf now was extremely good and made the course affordable. We need more courses like this and the good value offered.
Under Construction
We played Druids Heath on a Saturday in early September 2021 in horrible course conditions.
On arrival we were told the shockwaving of the fairways carried out last week left the course in subpar conditions, which frankly was an understatement to say the least. Fairways consisted of more sand than gras, bunkers were full of gravel and we encountered traffic cones and open canals on our way. After a very unenjoyable 9 holes we decided to call it a day.
I think selling the course in these conditions for 50€ a round is a scam and we’re very much hoping to get our money refunded.
Druid's Heap of Junk
Golf course or building site? Difficult to tell. Shouldn't be open to public in current condition. We paid €50 each. Total waste of money. We stopped after the front nine. Not only poor business practice to try squeeze money out of a clearly unready course, but we were also robbed of a lovely sunny afternoon that we could have been on a real course. Will be asking for money back.
Druids Heath Autumn 2021
The course is a work in progress. This point should be inluded on the booking information or else the course should not be advertised on Golf Now to the general public. In fairness the pro shop did warn us about the sub standard conditions that awaited us and offered a free round at a later date if we were not satisfied. On the day we played the fairways had been heavily sanded and scored, which for improvement reasons can't be avoided. But, the fact that all the bunkers resembled rainforest nature reserves combined with the above made the 50€ green fee seem crazily overpriced. It was a very disappointing day out and I would recommend you give it at least 6 months before playing here. And that's assuming
consistent and on going investment in the course condition are maintained. The course has good potential once some tlc is applied. N.B. I did not play well on the day but felt bad for the 2 very average golfers that joined me. The day was made very difficult for them when every fairway shot was like hitting out of a bunker. There scores and egos suffered quite badly. Their very own golfing 9/11.
Will be great when work is completed
Played here on Sunday for first time. Great course but only disappointment is that there are currently upgrade works taking place meaning that the 18th isn't in play nor any of the bunkers and a lot of newly laid grass - can't be helped and great to see work take place that will surely improve this course.
Still had a really enjoyable round and the rest of the course was in great nick. Some really tricky tight holes with no room off the fairways for mistakes. Look forward to returning and playing again when work is complete.
15 (14 1/2) Hole Course
The Course is currently under improvement ( only 15 holes in play) but we got no indication of this until we arrived to play - We started on the 10th and had to find our own way (no on course directions - Nearly teed off on the 16th!), to the 13th tee ( our second ).
No GUR signs in most of the back nine (our front) - We were told that the 18th was closed but this was not the case (It had been turned into a poor par 3 ) - In fact the 9th was closed. It was Very disappointing as we had played this course many times late last year and enjoyed it - Won’t consider returning to this course until the improvements are completed - I hope the course management will be more transparent in the future.
Building site
The course is like a building site with the 16 closed and they still charged full price. The ranger actually shouted violently across the fairway while my playing partner looking for his ball. Avoid at all costs!
Would be great in summer!
Unfortunately the winter weather has been unfair to this course. The fairways and rough on most holes were bog-like, not just waterlogged but muck tracks all over. Greens were in good condition for this time of year, but the mucky fairways were a real let down, leading us to only play the front nine and call it a day. The holes are impressive and clearly when the course is in summer condition it would be lovely, but when in the current condition, I dont think it should be open and playable unfortunately! Staff are very nice and helpful

The par 3’s are challenging.
Great course, challenging second shot on every hole. Bunkers everywhere.

Not a course you will rush back to.
Firstly it's not clear you need tokens for the Driving Range and then it's a very long walk back to clubhouse to get them. This happened to us and so it was a bad start.
Course itself is very long and you need to drive it well. There is a bunker in play on every single shot until you reach the green.
Greens are in very good condition but flags cant be tricky on some holes. Helps if you play with somebody that has played there before and can help guide you a around. We played in very good weather with no wind and it was still a tough test. Easy to lose some golf balls in the dirches around the greens.
Overall its an average course & not one you would go rushing back to play again in a hurry. (Review by 12 handicapper)
Dear Guest,
Firstly, please accept my apologies it was not made clear to you that tokens must be purchased in the Golf Shop prior to making your way to the range. There is also an intercom in the Range to contact the shop in the event you forgot a token. We will look to make this clearer moving forward.

I have no doubt that if you decide to return the course will play easier having already played here. The Heath will test every facet of your game which is what we expect from a Pat Ruddy design.
We hope to welcome you back soon.
