Glasson Country House Hotel & Golf Club sits on a peninsula surrounded by Lough Ree, the second largest of the River Shannon's three lakes. Tranquil lake views are provided by ever hole. The golf course has a landscape of gently rolling parkland covered in trees. There is treacherous rough surrounding the fairways, but a good shot will be greatly rewarded. Water comes into play on five holes, most notably on the par-3 15th. It may seem short, but with both the tee and green situated in the lake it requires a nearly 200-foot carry over water and into prevailing wind. In addition to the course, Glasson Country House Hotel & Golf Club offers a practice area with three full practice holes, two par 4s and a shorter hole.
