Very good for this time of year
Lovely round of golf played in Thurles today. Only 2 holes on play due to wet conditions underfoot. But the very friendly club pro Raymond Ryan admin staff told us to work away and replay another 6 holes. This was very generous of them as we already had a golfniw discount of 50% on greenfès. This course was very challenging. Greens were mostly elevated and undulating.. A lot of work was going on removing and cutting felled trees from recent storm..Balls plugged alot in the fairways but many areas on the course were benefiting from winter dressing of sand which helped alot. Though course to score points on. Soup, tea/coffee and stones available in clubhouse but we decided to head to the close by Horse & Jockey for grub. Showers and Facilities in clubhouse were spotless and warm. Overall very good golf day to be had for this time of year in this well established old golf course. Looking forward to returning in better weather later on in the year. Thanks again 👍🙏🏌
A lovely parklands course
I really enjoyed playing this course, some very good doglegs on it.
You have to bring your A game to have a decent score.
The only downside is the greens were sanded the day before but it’s the time of year to carry out maintenance so all good!
Beautiful course in fantastic condition. Very friendly staff in the clubhouse and proshop
Challenging course
I played this with friends today, lovely course fairways nice and wide. Greens had been spiked so greens hard to putt on but its that time of year..I will play again
Short but testing
Nice course, but short. Could be quite easy on a summers day
Very good course
This is a great course. My third time playing it and each time I’ve been very impressed. It’s in good condition for this time of year and staff are very friendly. Will be back again soon
Nice course! Play Very slow
Really nice course, but the speed of play was disgraceful, 3 ball of women did not once offer to let me (1 Male alone) play through, or acknowledge the fact I was on the same tee box as them almost a few times. It's just a bit of common sense and common courtesy! Apart from that, all staff were lovely and the course is in very good condition! Will 100% return
