A Gem
Wonderful golf course with panoramic views on every hole. Each hole presents formidable challenges off the tee both in terms of ball placement and distance as invariably I was playing a wood or long iron for my second. There were water features everywhere and 3 of the Par 5 holes really spring to mind in this respect...risk/reward tee shots over the lake to shorten the hole with additional water features around the green for good measure!! The greens were wonderful...huge ,swirling masterpieces one and all and in spite of it being February, were in great condition considering the time of year. The course was a little damp underfoot but again, only to be expected really... I can't wait to play it again in the spring/summer. It's a long trek and we opted to walk although I could see why a buggy might be a sensible option for those of more senior years or maybe not as fit as they once were.
In conclusion, Concra Wood is a fabulous course on a fabulous setting and I really couldn't recommend it highly enough!!
Very good track
Played early morning after heavy downpour the previous night. Course held up very well. Greens were in very good condition given recent weather.
Would recommend this course will be back to play again soon.
Excellent
One of the hidden gems, the layout of the course is second to none, condition was perfect long track with alot of water but one of the best I've played
Beautiful course
A challenging, long course but delightful. Great scenery lakeside with a wide variety of shots needed. Have played it 3 times in 3 months, travelling over an hour to get there. Will definitely be playing it again soon. Staff and amenities top class.
Simply Stunning
Second time playing Concra Wood. It gets better and better. Club Pro friendly and helpful. Food & service in the restaurant was excellent.
Challenging
A very challenging, long, hilly course with beautiful lakeside scenery. It will appeal to all levels of golfers and make you feel like going back again to do yourself justice. Well worth it.
Stunning Course
A gem of a course. Fantastic layout and design. Spectacular scenery. Course was in fantastic condition. We were a 2 ball in a buggy and the pace of play was perfect. Staff really friendly and food and service in the clubhouse was great. Will definitely be back to play here again. Put it on your wish list!
Spur of the moment
Second time playing Concra Wood previous visit in March when course was very wet. What a difference 3 months has made. Absolutely perfect condition and weather to match.
Exceptional!!!!!
Concra Wood is undoubtedly the best course I have played in my golfing career. From the first tee to the 18th green it was a mesmerising experience. Breath taking views, challenging holes, a world class layout and excellent course condition contributed to an unforgettable experience. We will definitely return!!!!
Amazing
Absolutely the best course I’ve played at an unbelievable price. First class facilities, friendly and hassle free. The course is without doubt Championship standard, a fair test for average golfer and absolutely stunning from start to finish. Top class! One of the best in Ireland and a true credit all involved.
Wet
Lovely course layout, extremely wet and soggy everywhere. No rain on the day but the course in very wet condition for the time of year. Greens nice but everywhere else was poor
Thoroughly enjoyed the course and the experience of Concra Wood. I was very pleased, having invited a guest from England to play the course for the fi
I only scored course conditions as ‘Good’ for two reasons:
1. The course was very soft and the grass on the fairways left long so no run on the ball. This is not a criticism and was to be expected given extensive heavy rainfall in the local area over the past month.
2. On fairways that had been mown, grass clippings had not been collected and looked a little unsightly.
Greens were in very good condition despite recent weather conditions and it is still very early in the season.
