Killeen Castle Golf Resort sprawls across hundreds of acres of verdant woodland on the historic grounds of one of Ireland's oldest Norman castles, which dates back to the 12th century. Jack Nicklaus saw the beautiful setting as perfect for a championship course. The expansive golf course stretches over nearly 350 acres, almost twice the amount of land used for a typical golf course. Due to the size, the layout has a distinctly American feel but the scenery is unlike anything you would find in the States. In addition to the golf course, there are also practice facilities where golfers can work on both their long game and short game skills.
