A visit to the origin of the game

This course is quite interesting, as sheep wonder alongside the golfers. What makes this course worth playing? To start, this course is as close to what one would imagine the original golf courses to be like, rugged and lightly maintained. The greens are surrounded by posts with ropes attached which deter the livestock from wandering across the greens. The turf is maintained by the same livestock, rarely will you find a fluffy lie but then again, you won't find yourself in a bad lie all that often either. The holes(9) have two sets of tees, one for the front nine and one for the back. At 15 Euros for 18, great value. As for the holes themselves, a kick in the pants. Sure, you won't find any island greens or Fazio styled bunkering but safe to say, the first golf courses were void of these man made features. What you will find? A beautiful, thoughtful 9 holes laid out just above the Keel Sandy Banks at the foot of the Minuan Cliffs. Memorable holes would have to be #2(fun par 5 with an amazing green), #3 which is a great little par 3, the par 4 4th which runs right alongside the beach and probably the most difficult on the course, the 7th which is a lengthy dog leg with OB bordering the left side of the hole.
