Adare Manor Golf Club is an 18-hole parkland course in southwest Ireland that offers a unique historical experience. Desmond Castle, which was built in the 13th century, provides a stunning backdrop for the first and 15th greens but it is the ruins of the Franciscan Abbey that was built in 1464 that takes center stage. The ancient ruins occupy much of the course's core, providing views and challenges unlike any other golf course in Ireland. Mature trees cover the landscape, but they are most heavily concentrated along the fairways. The greens can be tricky but overall the golf course is very player-friendly. Adare Manor is a championship layout that is accessible for players of all skill levels.
