Good course but every green full of leaves not good
Improvement needed
LOVELY 9 HOLE COURSE. 1ST TEE SUPERB TEE BOX. ARTIFICIAL GRASS VERY LEVEL AND ACCEPTS TEES. THE REST ARE A SHAMBLES. UNEVEN AND BARE AT BEST. GREENS NEED SOME TLC AS VERY BARE AND BUMPY. ALL TEE BOXES AFTER THE FIRST REQUIRE THE SAME TREATMENT. SUCH A SHAME AS ITS A NICE LITTLE 9 HOLE COURSE WITH AMAZING VIEWS.
OTHER LOCAL MUNICIPAL COURSES ARE MUCH BETTER REGARDING IMPORTANT AREAS SUCH AS GREENS AND TEE BOXES.
NEEDS A BELL AFTER THE 8TH HOLE AS WE WERE NEARLY HIT AGAIN.
Greens
The greens were absolutely awful ,looks like they don't care about the greens and bunkers were a Disgrace also .
Run down
Course and facilities are on a sorry star of affairs.
Good but has potential.
Coarse can do with many improvements. Range balls litter the first(maybe a net could be put up? No signage directing you the route of the coarse. Signage old and worn where there’s even signage at all. Now that coarse has been rearranged there’s very little info about hole yardage etc… No definition between greens, fairways and rough? Greens are holey and very bumpy, effects the roll of the ball a lot. Bunkers are in very bad nick with no rakes in most. There’s a lot potential with the coarse but needs a good investment!
Green fees have been raised recently so hopefully that can contribute to the updating of a lot of things around the coarse. Potential is there though.
Disappointed not to play the front 9 in particular the 1st tee offthe roof. But back 9 was in great condition lovely course and not over booked
Go straight to the back 9
Ruined the course to fit in football golf. Front nine completely changed. New greens just cut into fairway.
Opening iconic hole no longer par 4. 200 yard par 3 with grenn just a fairway. One of the best holes has been handed over to football golf course. Range balls on every hole. Every fairway. Weird. Greens destroyed by birds. Grass not cut. So disappointed because we were all members many years ago and we loved the place. Back 9 is a proper golf course. So either it is an 18 hole course or it is not. At least the weather was gorgeous

Not bad for a money. A bit confusing for the first time playing. Nice course, but need a bit maintenance around a grounds!
Nice course
Nice golf course, need a bit improvement on the signage and pats as you can get lost easily. Also, animities are a bit small. But over all we enjoyed our golf.
Grand game of golf
Yeah I enjoyed my round at Highfield, is a bit of a funny place at first when you arrive n there was no staff there for our 9am tee time so we took a card n just headed out. Weather leading up to our round had been dry so the course that isn’t particular long was made that bit shorter as the ball ran a bit meaning we were using short irons into most greens which mean you could really go for it which I liked. Greens weren’t the best but at least they ran a bit which meant it made it fun when chipping in from around the green, had a number of chips run close to the hole. There were a couple of very long par 3s which I didn’t like, one was about 215 yards it was a monster had to hit a light 3 wood to reach it. There were a couple of tricky par 5s also which were fun, one you had to come down a club as there was a lake at around the 250 mark n it dogged left harshly so you had to keep it short n to the right if you wanted to have any chance of getting close to the green with your second. All in all it was grand for €20
