Connemara Golf Club is home to three different nines that are played as three 18-hole courses. The courses look out on the Atlantic to the south, the Twelve Bens mountain range to the west, and the Maamturk mountains to the east. The A/C course starts out on the flatter side but then moves along to the rugged shore. The rough is not too threatening granted you keep your ball relatively straight and the dunes are not as dauntingly high and widespread as you would find on the more famous links golf courses. Wind is definitely a factor on the course, most notably on the finishing hole of the B nine. It nearly always plays into prevailing wind.
