Royal Dublin Golf Club has been host to a number of famous players since its creation in 1885. This impressive list includes Old Tom Morris, Jack Nicklaus, Greg Norman, and even Bill Clinton. It has also been host to several championships, including the Irish Open. Located on Bull Island in Dublin Bay, the golf course feels secluded thanks to the tall dunes but it is only three miles from Dublin's center. Its classic out-and-back layout received an update at the turn of the millennium. These renovations lengthened the course to well over 7,000 yards from the championship tees and added 18 new raised and contoured greens. While accurate shot-making is beneficial, skillful course management is integral to doing well at Royal Dublin G.C.
