Epensive Green Fee But Great Course

I will start bysaying it is abeautiful course situated on the bull island nature reserve. The views are beautiful. The course itself is agreat challeng for every golfer. The greenswere immaculate for the timeof year we could not get over the speed and firmness of the greens, a credit to the groundskeeping staff. The fairways were in great condition for themost part. There was lying water in places for me did not justify the expensive green fee's. The bunkers were also GUR on the day, we noticed quite akot of them had a pool of water resting in them.
Overall we really enjoyed it, i just dont think i'd paythe green fee again due to the reasons highlighted above.

Enjoyable Sunday evening round

Super round of golf despite the wet & windy front 9. Good links course with challenging holes depending on the wind direction. Greens in great condition and course well drained despite heavy rains at the time. Great value with golfnow deal. Will definitely be back

Great fun with some Fins!

Played a scramble as a single on a short weekend golf trip to Dublin with a threesome of young guys from Finland that I was lucky to be paired up with. Course was in great shape on a beautiful day, greens were fast and true. Views and the setting are all top notch. Paying 32€ for a GolfNow hot deal was an excellent price point as well. Really good test on a links style. I couldn’t hit a tee shot to save my life that day, but that’s where my scramble partners picked me up. Such a fun day. Only complaint is some backtracking to the next tee box on quite a few holes. Other than that, an excellent course that had me feeling like a local. Staff and everyone I encountered there were all super friendly and welcoming. Great spot!

Back 9 particularly enjoyable

We played with a very discounted rate which made it super value for money. If the whole course was as good as back 9 it would be 5* easily. Front 9 still fun, location is great, and enjoyed the round completely. Recommend.

Great fun!

Got a great deal on GolfNow. Got paired with a great group of guys from Finland and we had a blast. The greens are in great shape, subtle undulation, and a true roll. The location with water on both sides is unique to Dublin. Staff was super friendly and had good vibes. My only complaint is the routing, which is a little off. You often have to walk backwards to the tee boxes to start the next hole, which adds to a longer round in general. But otherwise a very appealing course, especially when they run GolfNow deals.

18 on vacation

Was able to rent clubs at the course, unfortunately they were just a bunch of sets out together. No sleeve of balls or tees, need to purchase on top of rental. Cart bag must rent trolley. Overall the course is in good shape, a true links course so many of the holes play similar. The greens were fast with great movement, enjoyed my round.

Not worth it

I got a hot deal for about 38 euro. I was neither annoyed nor delighted with the value for money. If I had payed any more, I would have been very annoyedm The high prices for this course are definitely just down to demand and location not due to the layout or quality of the course. The first 4 holes are out on a dried up, divot covered waste land. All of the bunkers are located just off the edge of the fairway, so when the conditions are calm, they are of no danger. The 10th hole is the only stand out hole. But it is followed by the 11th, 12th, 13th, 14th, 15th and 16th that are all very very similar parallel, boring links holes. The 17th is an interesting par 3 before your round is capped of by the 18th which is the worst hole on the course. The fairway is split by a big ugly mound of long grass and the green is located just beside the most dodgy looking ruff and bushes.

Excellent course. Worth 3x what we paid

A true links course that tests every aspect of your game. Great value and I couldn’t recommend it more. If there were 6 star ratings I would have given them across the board
