Portmarnock Golf Club offers a total of 27 holes of championship golf, one championship course and a nine-hole course. The club is situated on a peninsula that sits just 10 miles from Dublin City center. With the ocean surrounding it on three sides, wind is definitely a factor on both courses. The nine-hole golf course was added in 1971 to complement the original 18 holes at Portmarnock. The nine-hole shares the same classic links style with the treacherous pot bunkers that the Championship Course is famous for. It shares many of the same characteristics as its challenging sister course but on a much smaller and less intimidating scale. Portmarnock also offers a driving range and short-game area as well as putting and chipping greens.
